The Fox 38 fork is the bodybuilt version of its little sister Fox 36, the reference model in Enduro, but optimized for travel from 160 to 180 mm.
First of all, the sleeves have many innovations: bleeders which make it possible to balance the internal pressures of the fork with the external pressures, air / oil circulation ramps allowing them a better management of the air pressures but also optimized lubrication of the upper seals, a new arch offering even more rigidity, and finally a floating wheel axle system which ensures perfect alignment between the fork and the hub.
The Té-Pivot-Plongeur assembly has also been optimized by the brand since the fork has a conical pivot with differentiated internal diameter of olbond shape, a tee whose diameter goes to 58 mm and finally stanchions of 38 mm. You will understand, the rigidity of the Fox 38 will not disappoint you.
Spring side, the Fox 38 uses the Float air system dear to the brand, but has some improvements to increase progressiveness and reduce friction
On the hydraulic side, the Fox 38 benefits from the new GRIP 2 cartridge whose VVC technology, for Variable Valve Control, until now reserved for high-speed rebound adjustment, now extends to high-speed compression adjustment, further improving the operation of the the most famous cartridge of the brand.

Float damping:
The FLOAT pneumatic shock absorber developed for the 32, 34 and 40 forks is lighter and reduces the force required to release. It offers excellent sensitivity on small bumps regardless of the rider and the pressure setting.
Similar to our FLOAT shocks, the new FLOAT system features negative and positive chambers that balance automatically. This provides proper pressure for every mountain biker. The progressiveness of the damping curve is adjustable by means of spacers for the air volume so that mountain bikers can precisely adjust the behavior of the air shock.
